Our Story

Fighting for What We Believe In. Together.  That is the Martin Luther King, Jr. Way.

JAPRI began as a local Greenville, NC, Community Movement in 2017, focusing on environmental issues, health concerns, social injustices and climate change.   We soon developed partnerships with other NGOs with similar values and missions—engaging with more and more people, adding more and more supporters, and amplifying more and more voices.  Also, JAPRI has a separate but important focus regarding working with Black males to avoid the "Path to Prison" and instead follow the "Path to [legal] Prosperity" (See www.japri.org).

JAPRI partnerships include United States Climate Action Network (USCAN); Dogwood Alliance; Center for Health, Environment & Justice (CHEJ); National Sierra Club; North Carolina Chapter of Sierra Club; and Churches Outreach Network.
